Hoover Type W2 Hepa Filter Bag, 401080W2

work as expected
These bags are the branded bags and work as expected. Great price compared to retail outlet nearby.

Hoover Type W2 Hepa Filter Bags
The bags are perfect, works excellent and a great bargain. These bags are next to impossible to find in stores, and if you do its extremely overpriced or generic. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and will buy again from this seller.

Hoover SteamVac Bare Floor Cleaning Attachment 48417008 (Old # 48417003)

Might as well use a mop
I ordered this part because I already had the Hoover SteamVac for our carpets and wanted to see how it did on the tile flooring in the kitchen. It took a couple minutes to get snapped on to the vacuum correctly, but is otherwise easy to use and clean afterwards. From what I could tell, it cleaned the floor probably as well as a regular mop, but it took about three times as long (once over with the solution, then a couple more times to suck up all the water, not to mention the maneuverability is a pain!) The SteamVac itself is great, but I wouldn't recommend the bare floor attachment, unless you have a lot of extra time to kill.

Make sure you install it correctly
This attachment dramatically improves the performance of the Steam Vac on bare floors. I think that people that rate it low are not putting it correctly onto the machine. It doesn't snap on in one motion but rather it slides on in a circular motion. You have to click it into place all the way, there are two clicks that occur BEFORE you reach the full on position. When installed correctly, you should not see any holes when viewed from above.

I have cleaned wood floors and tiled floors and the attachment leaves less water behind than a mop does. Be careful about popped nails in the floor as it will damage the rubber squeegee on the attachment.

Confucious say: Don't use cannon to kill mosquito.
The Hoover SteamVac is an amazing carpet cleaner, but it is NOT the best choice for hard floors. It's basically just a rubber mesh wrapped around an oblong piece of black plastic. It just dumps soapy water on the floor, then vacuums half of that water back up.

Hoover Type Z Allergen Vacuum Cleaner Replacement Bags, Package of 3

Allergen Filtration
We purchased these bags for the first time in May 2001. I installed a bag and thought it worked OK. (I did not throw the former bags, not Hoover bags, out.) The next time the bag needed changing the lady who cleans the house (unbeknown to us) installed the bag we had been using previously. My wife who is very sensitive to house dust recognized the difference. After a very short time my wife said she could smell the dust when the vacuum cleaner was in use. I changed the bag in our vacuum back to a Hoover bag and the probem was cured. While not very scientific, it convinced us. I have thrown the other bags away.
Additional Comment:
Because of the small particles that are trapped in the bag, I take the vacuum outside to remove the filled bag. This prevents these particles from escaping back into the air in the house.

OEM Replacements that work
This will be short, it's a replacement bag for Hoover vacuums, it's OEM, it works, no manufacturing or quality issues. If your vacuum uses this size, I see no reason not to get it. As long as my self propelling Hoover continues to run, and it has been running for over a decade, I will get these replacements. Thanks to Amazon for making these so easy to acquire, would have had a hard time locally, otherwise.

Didn't Fit
Be warned! If you are looking for the "Type Y & Z" bag for a Hoover Wind Tunnel vac, don't assume a "Type Z" bag will fit....it won't!
