Description isnt complete
I felt the description wasn't totally complete because not only do you receive the hard plastic pre-filter but you also get a "fabric" filer included with it.
I guess I should have realized that because of the price and the picture but I wasn't totally sure.
Overall I am very happy with the product, fit perfectly and works like a champ.
Black & Decker CHV1410/CHV1510 Pre-Filter
I bought this as an extra pre-filter for my Black & Decker CHV1510 Dustbuster. This is the right pre-filter for this model hand vac.
This is a good bargain, great price, and works perfectly on my Black & Decker CHV1210 Dustbuster
I purchased the Black & Decker CHV1210 Dustbuster a few days back but found that the only thing it came with was the cloth filter (part#VF110) but nothing to protect it from debris beating on it. I also noticed that this cloth filter had notches in it as if something should fit over it. These notches seemed to also allow air, dirt and debris to bypass the filter and get directly into the motor which I would imagine over time, maybe a short time if heavily used, would damage the motor. I did some investigating and found that the Dustbuster model CHV1410 uses the same cloth filter but also comes with a hard plastic pre-filter to keep large debric and stuff from damaging the cloth filter under it. I noticed that it fit over the cloth part#VF110. I looked online and found the manufacturer sold the pre-filter but by the time you ordered it, which didn't come with a cloth filter, you were paying almost $15.00.
